Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and cut in half
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp ginger freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Topping

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds toasted

Instructions

Let's Begin!

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a large baking sheet.
  • Evenly spread the Brussels sprouts, cut side down, over the baking sheet, then drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
  • Roast in the oven for 15 minutes. Then take out from the pan, giving a quick stir, then place back in the oven for another 10 minutes to your desired crispiness.
  • To make the sauce, saute garlic in sesame oil in a small saucepan over medium heat until lightly toasted and fragrant.
  • Add the soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, and maple syrup. Stir well until all combined and thick.
  • When the sprouts are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the top and toss to coat the sprouts fully in the sauce. Top with sesame seeds.
  • Serve hot, and enjoy with family and friends!
